Brewing Guide: IO Brew Drip Coffee

How to Brew a Drip Coffee Bag

A simple method to get the best flavour from your coffee – all you need is hot water.

You’ll need

  • 1 drip coffee bag (12 g)
  • 1 cup or mug
  • Hot water (92–96 °C)

Step-by-step

  • Open the bag
    • Tear open the sachet and remove the drip coffee filter.
  • Place on your cup
    • Unfold the paper arms and hang the filter securely on the rim of your cup.
  • Bloom (optional, recommended)
    • Pour a small amount of hot water (about 20–30 ml) over the coffee to wet it evenly.
    • Let it bloom for 20–30 seconds to release aromas.
  • Brew slowly
    • Continue pouring hot water in slow, steady circles until you reach 150–200 ml.
  • Remove and enjoy
    • Once the water has fully dripped through, remove the filter and enjoy your coffee.

Brewing tips

  • Pour slowly for a cleaner, sweeter cup
  • Use fresh, filtered water when possible
  • Adjust water amount to taste: 
    • 150 ml for a richer cup
    • 200 ml for a lighter, brighter cup
